Eye Test Chart
This eye test chart or Snellen Chart is the same chart that your doctor would use to determine the health of your sight. Display the the chart on your screen and then work out how far from the screen you should stand.
(The normal height for the letter A is 88 mm, and the viewing distance is 6 meters.)
When you are viewing the chart on your monitor you have to work out how far away you need to stand, based on the actual size of the letters on the screen.
- Measure the height of the letter A in millimeters.
- Divide by 88.
- Multiply by 6.
The final number is the distance (in meters) that you should stand from the monitor. For information on using the chart refer to the MD Support Library.
